1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
-
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
-
1/4 teaspoon salt
-
Optional: 1/2 cup mini marshmallows for topping
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
-
Peel the yams and cut them into evenly sized 1-inch cubes.
-
In a medium bowl, combine melted butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, orange juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir until smooth.
-
Place the cubed yams in the prepared baking dish and pour the glaze over them. Gently toss to coat evenly.
-
Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
-
Remove the foil and bake an additional 20–25 minutes until yams are tender and glaze is bubbling. If using marshmallows, sprinkle them on top during the last 10 minutes of baking.
-
Let the dish cool slightly before serving.
