Ingredients
-
2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or chopped
-
1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
-
1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
-
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
-
3 cloves garlic, minced
-
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
-
1 teaspoon dried oregano
-
1 teaspoon garlic powder
-
1/4 teaspoon salt
-
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
-
1 sheet of puff pastry or pizza dough, thawed
-
1 tablespoon olive oil or melted butter for brushing
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
-
In a medium bowl, mix the shredded chicken, mozzarella, cream cheese, Parmesan, minced garlic, parsley, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
-
Roll the dough on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle approximately 12×10 inches.
-
Spread the chicken and cheese mixture evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border on one edge.
-
Roll the dough from the long edge to form a tight log. Pinch the seams and ends to seal.
-
Slice the log into 1-inch thick pinwheels and place them on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each slice.
-
Brush the tops lightly with olive oil or melted butter.
-
Bake for 15–20 minutes, or until golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
-
Allow to cool for 2–3 minutes before serving. Garnish with extra parsley if desired.
Notes
Use fresh herbs for a brighter flavor. Do not overfill the dough to prevent cheese from spilling. Puff pastry gives a crispier texture, while pizza dough results in a softer, bread-like bite.
