Ingredients
-
2 cups fresh broccoli florets, chopped small
-
1 tablespoon olive oil
-
1 medium onion, finely diced
-
2 cloves garlic, minced
-
1 cup cream cheese, softened
-
1 cup sour cream
-
1/2 cup mayonnaise
-
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
-
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
-
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
-
1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
-
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
-
1/4 teaspoon paprika
-
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
-
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
-
1 baguette or crusty bread, sliced and toasted
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a medium-sized baking dish or ovenproof skillet.
-
Steam or blanch the broccoli florets in boiling water for 3–4 minutes until bright green and slightly tender. Drain and set aside.
-
In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onions and sauté for 3–4 minutes until translucent. Add minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds until fragrant. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
-
In a large mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise. Stir until smooth. Add Dijon mustard, salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder, mixing thoroughly.
-
Fold in cheddar, mozzarella, Parmesan, sautéed onions, garlic, and blanched broccoli. Mix gently to coat the broccoli evenly.
-
Pour the mixture into the prepared dish, spreading evenly. Smooth the top with a spatula and sprinkle extra cheddar and Parmesan over the top.
-
Bake for 20–25 minutes, until the dip is bubbly and the top is lightly golden.
-
Slice the baguette or crusty bread into 1/2-inch slices and toast until golden and crisp.
-
Serve the dip warm alongside toasted bread slices for dipping.
Notes
-
For extra flavor, sprinkle smoked paprika or chili flakes on top before baking.
-
Leftover dip can be enjoyed in sandwiches or wraps.
-
Adjust seasoning based on personal preference, especially salt and garlic.
-
For a lighter version, substitute Greek yogurt for mayonnaise or use low-fat cheese.
-
Gluten-free bread works well for guests with dietary restrictions.
