Description

A perfect blend of creamy brie, sweet-tart cranberries, and flaky puff pastry, these cranberry brie bites are ideal for festive gatherings, cozy evenings, or an elegant snack. Easy to prepare yet impressive in presentation, they offer a sophisticated combination of flavors that delight every palate.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed

  • 4 oz brie cheese, cut into small cubes

  • 1/4 cup cranberry sauce or cranberry preserves

  • 1 teaspoon honey (optional)

  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh rosemary or thyme (optional, for garnish)

  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

  • Fresh rosemary sprigs, extra cranberry sauce, nuts, or pomegranate seeds for serving (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a mini muffin tin with paper liners or lightly grease the tin to prevent sticking.

  • Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Cut into 2 x 2-inch squares.

  • Place a cube of brie in the center of each pastry square. Add a teaspoon of cranberry sauce on top. Drizzle with honey if desired and sprinkle lightly with black pepper.

  • Gently fold the corners of the pastry over the brie and cranberry, forming a small open-top pouch. Press edges lightly to seal.

  • Brush the tops with beaten egg for a glossy, golden finish.

  • Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the pastry is puffed and golden and the brie is melted.

  • Allow bites to cool slightly, then garnish with fresh herbs if desired. Serve warm, optionally with extra cranberry sauce, nuts, or pomegranate seeds.

Notes

  • Use fully thawed but cold puff pastry for best results.

  • Choose a creamy, mild brie for a smooth, flavorful bite.

  • These bites can be assembled ahead of time and refrigerated until ready to bake.

  • For added texture, sprinkle chopped nuts on top before baking.

  • Serve warm for the best flavor and presentation.
