Description

A comforting, rich pasta dish made with tender chicken and a smooth parmesan cream sauce that is perfect for family dinners or special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 ounces (340 g) penne or fettuccine pasta

  • 1½ pounds (680 g) chicken breast, cubed

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 2 tablespoons butter

  • 4 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1½ cups (360 ml) heavy cream

  • ½ cup (120 ml) milk

  • 1½ cups (150 g) grated parmesan cheese

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

  • ½ teaspoon paprika

  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  • Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and reserve ½ cup (120 ml) pasta water.

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet and cook seasoned chicken until golden and fully cooked. Remove and set aside.

  • Melt butter in the same skillet, add garlic, and cook briefly until fragrant.

  • Add heavy cream and milk, simmer gently for 3–4 minutes.

  • Stir in parmesan cheese until smooth and creamy.

  • Return chicken and pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat. Add reserved pasta water if needed.

  • Adjust seasoning, garnish with parsley, and serve warm.

Notes

  • Freshly grated parmesan gives the best flavor and texture.

  • Add a splash of milk when reheating to restore creaminess.

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
