Description

There’s nothing more comforting than the rich aroma of chocolate filling your kitchen, especially on a chilly evening. Crockpot Double Chocolate Delight is the perfect dessert for cozy nights at home, family gatherings, or when you want a decadent treat without spending hours in the kitchen. Inspired by the tradition of slow-cooked desserts, this recipe allows chocolate to melt and blend slowly, creating a luscious, velvety dessert that’s indulgent, shareable, and irresistibly chocolatey.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

  • 1 cup cocoa powder

  • 2 cups whole milk

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips (optional)

  • Whipped cream or marshmallows for topping

Instructions

  1. Lightly spray the inside of a 4- to 6-quart crockpot with non-stick cooking spray to prevent sticking.

  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together cocoa powder, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt until fully blended.

  3. Pour whole milk and heavy cream into the crockpot, then gradually whisk in the dry ingredients, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.

  4. Add semi-sweet chocolate chips and stir until melted. Fold in mini chocolate chips for extra chocolate pockets.

  5. Cover and cook on low for 2–3 hours, stirring every 30 minutes to maintain a smooth consistency.

  6. Once thick and glossy, stir in vanilla extract to enhance flavor.

  7. Ladle into mugs or bowls and top with whipped cream, marshmallows, or extra chocolate chips.

  8. Optional: Add a drizzle of caramel, sprinkle of crushed cookies, cinnamon, or a dash of espresso powder for added flavor.

Notes

  • Use high-quality chocolate for the best flavor.

  • Taste and adjust sweetness if desired.

  • Store in the refrigerator up to 3 days; reheat gently.
