Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups Corn Chex cereal

  • 3 cups Rice Chex cereal

  • 3 cups Wheat Chex cereal

  • 2 cups bite-sized pretzels

  • 1 cup roasted peanuts

  • 1/2 cup butter, melted

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons onion powder

  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1 1/2 tablespoons jalapeño powder (or finely minced fresh jalapeños)

  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 250°F (120°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine Corn Chex, Rice Chex, Wheat Chex, pretzels, and roasted peanuts. Stir gently to avoid crushing the cereal.

  • In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, black pepper, jalapeño powder, and dried parsley flakes.

  • Pour the seasoning mixture over the cereal mixture. Gently toss until everything is evenly coated.

  • Spread the coated Chex Mix evenly on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes for even crisping.

  • Remove from the oven and let cool completely; it will become extra crunchy as it cools.

  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two weeks.

Notes

  • Adjust cayenne pepper and jalapeño powder to control spice level.

  • Nut-free option: replace peanuts with roasted chickpeas or extra pretzels.

  • Make-ahead tip: Bake and cool in advance; store in airtight containers.
