Description

A fresh and satisfying pasta salad inspired by classic Caprese flavors, perfect for gatherings and make-ahead meals.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 450 g (1 lb) short pasta (rotini, fusilli, or farfalle)

  • 450 g (1 lb) cherry tomatoes, halved

  • 225 g (8 oz) fresh mozzarella pearls

  • 1 cup (about 30 g) fresh basil leaves, torn

  • 80 ml (⅓ cup) extra virgin olive oil

  • 60 ml (¼ cup) balsamic glaze (optional)

  • 1 small garlic clove, minced

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • ½ teaspoon black pepper


Instructions

  • Cook pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain and cool completely.

  • In a large bowl, combine pasta, tomatoes, and mozzarella.

  • Whisk olive oil, garlic, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.

  • Pour dressing over pasta mixture and toss gently.

  • Add basil and drizzle with balsamic glaze if using.

  • Rest 15–20 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Add basil just before serving for best freshness.

  • Refresh with extra olive oil if making ahead.
