There’s nothing quite like a warm, creamy dip to bring people together. Inspired by classic Italian flavors, the combination of tender chicken, roasted garlic, and Parmesan cheese creates a rich, savory dip that’s easy to make yet feels indulgent. Whether you’re preparing a quick snack or impressing guests, this recipe is designed to deliver maximum flavor with minimal effort.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or finely chopped

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened

  • ½ cup sour cream

  • ½ cup mayonnaise

  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 tsp garlic powder or 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced

  • ½ tsp onion powder

  • ½ tsp paprika

  • ¼ tsp black pepper, or to taste

  • ¼ tsp salt, or to taste

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley, for garnish

  • Crackers, breadsticks, or sliced vegetables for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9-inch baking dish or oven-safe skillet.

  2. In a medium bowl, combine shredded chicken, softened cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise. Mix until smooth and creamy.

  3. Stir in Parmesan cheese, garlic (powder or fresh), onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper until fully incorporated.

  4. Spoon the mixture into the prepared baking dish and smooth the top with a spatula.

  5. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella evenly over the top.

  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20–25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and slightly golden on top.

  7. Remove from the oven and sprinkle chopped fresh parsley over the top.

  8. Serve warm with crackers, breadsticks, or sliced vegetables.

  9. Optional: Add a sprinkle of red pepper flakes or toasted breadcrumbs for extra flavor and texture.

  10. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator and reheated in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10–15 minutes until warmed through.

Notes

  • Use rotisserie or leftover cooked chicken for convenience.

  • Freshly grated cheese melts better than pre-shredded cheese.

  • The dip can be made a day ahead and baked just before serving.

  • For a lighter version, swap sour cream and mayonnaise for Greek yogurt.

  • Roasted garlic can be used for a sweeter, more mellow flavor.
