-
1 cup mashed ripe bananas (about 2 medium bananas)
-
1/2 cup unsalted butter
-
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
-
4 cups powdered sugar, sifted
-
1/4 cup heavy cream
-
Pinch of salt
Optional toppings:
-
Chopped peanuts
-
Crushed banana chips
-
Dark chocolate drizzle
Instructions
-
Line an 8×8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper and lightly grease it with butter.
-
Mash the ripe bananas in a medium bowl until smooth, leaving small chunks if desired.
-
In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the butter and peanut butter together, stirring frequently. Remove from heat once smooth.
-
Stir in the mashed bananas and heavy cream until fully combined.
-
Add vanilla extract and a pinch of salt, mixing thoroughly.
-
Gradually add sifted powdered sugar, one cup at a time, stirring constantly until smooth and creamy.
-
Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula. Sprinkle optional toppings if desired.
-
Refrigerate for 2–3 hours or until firm. Cover with plastic wrap to prevent odors from the fridge.
-
Lift the fudge from the pan using the parchment paper and cut into squares. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
Notes
-
Use ripe bananas for natural sweetness and best texture.
-
Sifting the powdered sugar prevents lumps and ensures a smooth fudge.
-
Customize with toppings like chopped nuts, chocolate drizzle, or banana chips.
-
Fudge can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator or frozen for longer storage.
