Description

A quick and flavorful corn side dish made in one skillet with simple ingredients and ready in minutes.

Ingredients

Scale

4 cups corn kernels (fresh, frozen, or canned and drained)

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 small onion, finely chopped (about 1/2 cup)

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional)

1/4 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)

2 tablespoons fresh parsley or cilantro, chopped

1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat.

Add chopped onion and cook for 3–4 minutes until soft.

Stir in garlic and cook for 30 seconds.

Add corn and spread evenly in the skillet.

Season with salt, pepper, paprika, and chili flakes.

Cook for 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender and slightly caramelized.

Remove from heat and stir in herbs and lemon juice.

Serve warm.

Notes

Use a large skillet to avoid overcrowding.

Fresh, frozen, or canned corn all work well.

Add vegetables or spices to customize the flavor.

Best served fresh but can be reheated easily.
