500 grams fresh green beans (about 1 pound), trimmed

3 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, finely minced

½ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon black pepper

½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

Wash and trim the green beans.

Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and blanch the beans for 2–3 minutes. Transfer to ice water and drain.

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.

Add garlic and sauté until fragrant (30 seconds to 1 minute).

Add green beans and toss to coat.

Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.

Cook for 5–7 minutes until tender-crisp.

Drizzle with lemon juice and serve immediately.
