Description

A rich and comforting pasta dish combining tender seared steak with cheese tortellini in a creamy garlic sauce inspired by classic steakhouse flavors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb beef sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized cubes

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 20 oz cheese tortellini

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • 5 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning

  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

  • Salt and black pepper to taste

  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  • Cook tortellini in salted boiling water according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

  • Season steak with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear steak for 2 to 3 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.

  • Lower heat, add butter, then garlic, and cook until fragrant.

  • Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Simmer until slightly thickened.

  • Add tortellini to the sauce and toss gently.

  • Return steak to the skillet and warm through.

  • Garnish with parsley and serve hot.

Notes

For best results, avoid overcooking the steak when reheating. Add a splash of cream or reserved pasta water if the sauce thickens too much.
