Ingredients
1 pound (450 g) ground turkey (93% lean)
1 teaspoon fine sea salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1 teaspoon dried sage
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary, finely crushed
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
1 tablespoon pure maple syrup
1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
In a small bowl, combine salt, black pepper, sage, thyme, rosemary, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and crushed red pepper flakes.
In a large bowl, add the 1 pound (450 g) ground turkey and spice mixture. Pour in 1 tablespoon maple syrup and gently mix until just combined.
Divide into 8 portions and shape into 1/2 inch (1.25 cm) thick patties.
Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Cook patties for 4–5 minutes per side until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
Rest for 3–5 minutes before serving.
Notes
For extra moisture, use 93% lean ground turkey. Patties can be frozen cooked or uncooked for up to 3 months. Always cook to an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
