Ingredients

2 lb ground beef

1 cup breadcrumbs

1 medium onion, finely diced

2 large eggs

1/3 cup milk

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp paprika

1 1/2 tsp salt

1 tsp black pepper

1/3 cup ketchup
-
12 oz elbow macaroni
-
4 tbsp butter
-
4 tbsp all-purpose flour

3 cups milk
-
3 cups shredded cheddar cheese

1 tsp mustard powder
-
1/2 tsp garlic powder
-
1/2 tsp paprika
-
1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper
-
1 cup shredded cheddar (optional topping)

1/2 cup breadcrumbs (optional topping)
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

Mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, eggs, milk, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.

Press into a greased 9×13 dish and spread ketchup on top. Bake 25 minutes.

Cook macaroni and set aside.

Make cheese sauce by melting butter, whisking in flour, adding milk, then cheeses and seasonings.

Combine sauce with macaroni.

Spread mac and cheese over meatloaf.

Add optional toppings. Bake 20–25 minutes more.

Let rest 10 minutes before slicing.
Notes
For extra creaminess, add a splash more milk to the cheese sauce. The casserole reheats well and freezes nicely in portions.
