Ingredients

  • Cooked brown or green lentils – 2 cups

  • Rolled oats – 1 cup

  • Finely chopped onion – ½ cup

  • Minced garlic – 2 cloves

  • Ground cumin – 1 teaspoon

  • Salt – 1 teaspoon


Instructions

  • Add the cooked, well-drained lentils to a large bowl and mash about half of them.

  • Stir in the rolled oats, chopped onion, minced garlic, ground cumin, and salt until well combined.

  • Shape the mixture into evenly sized burger patties.

  • Cook on a nonstick skillet over medium heat for 4–5 minutes per side, or bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway.

  • Remove from heat and let rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes
