Description

A bold yet comforting seafood dish featuring tender shrimp and flaky salmon in a rich garlic cream sauce inspired by Cajun flavors.


Ingredients

  • Shrimp: 450 g / 1 lb, peeled and deveined

  • Salmon fillets: 2 fillets, about 170 g / 6 oz each

  • Cajun seasoning: 2 tablespoons

  • Paprika: 1 teaspoon

  • Salt: ½ teaspoon

  • Black pepper: ½ teaspoon

  • Olive oil: 2 tablespoons

  • Butter: 2 tablespoons

  • Garlic: 6 cloves, minced

  • Heavy cream: 240 ml / 1 cup

  • Lemon juice: 1 tablespoon

  • Fresh parsley: 2 tablespoons, chopped


Instructions

  • Pat shrimp and salmon dry and season with Cajun seasoning, paprika, salt, and black pepper.

  • Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet over medium heat. Sear salmon for 4–5 minutes per side until cooked through. Remove and set aside.

  • Add remaining olive oil to the skillet and cook shrimp for 2–3 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside.

  • Lower heat, add remaining butter and garlic, and sauté for 30 seconds. Stir in heavy cream, remaining Cajun seasoning, and lemon juice. Simmer for 3–4 minutes.

  • Return shrimp and salmon to the skillet, spoon sauce over them, and simmer for 2 minutes. Garnish with parsley and serve.

Notes

  • Adjust Cajun seasoning to control heat level.

  • Serve with rice, pasta, or vegetables to enjoy the full sauce.

  • Best enjoyed fresh but can be refrigerated for up to two days.
