A bold and comforting rice dish topped with crispy beef coated in a sweet and spicy chilli sauce, perfect for an indulgent homemade meal.
Ingredients

500 g beef steak (sirloin or flank), thinly sliced

3 tablespoons cornstarch

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon paprika

Vegetable oil, for frying

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

4 cloves garlic, finely minced

1–2 fresh red chillies, finely chopped

3 tablespoons soy sauce

3 tablespoons sweet chilli sauce

1 tablespoon tomato paste

1 tablespoon honey
-
1 tablespoon rice vinegar

2 cups long-grain white rice
-
4 cups water

1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions

Rinse the rice and cook it with water and salt until tender. Fluff and set aside.

Coat the beef with cornstarch, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.

Fry the beef in hot oil in batches until golden and crispy. Drain on paper towels.

Sauté garlic and chillies in oil, then add soy sauce, sweet chilli sauce, tomato paste, honey, and rice vinegar. Simmer briefly.

Toss the crispy beef in the sauce and serve immediately over rice.
