Description

A comforting and flavorful dinner featuring tender shrimp, vibrant broccoli, and fluffy rice coated in rich garlic butter sauce.


Ingredients

  • Shrimp – 1 pound (450 g), peeled and deveined

  • Broccoli florets – 3 cups (300 g)

  • White rice – 1 cup (200 g), uncooked

  • Water or vegetable broth – 2 cups (480 ml)

  • Unsalted butter – 4 tablespoons (56 g)

  • Olive oil – 1 tablespoon (15 ml)

  • Garlic – 5 cloves, minced

  • Salt – 1 teaspoon (5 g)

  • Black pepper – ½ teaspoon (2 g)

  • Paprika – ½ teaspoon (2 g)

  • Lemon juice – 1 tablespoon (15 ml)

  • Fresh parsley – 2 tablespoons (8 g), chopped


Instructions

  • Cook the rice with water or broth according to package instructions and set aside.

  • Blanch the broccoli in boiling salted water for 2–3 minutes, then drain and cool.

  • Season shrimp with salt, pepper, and paprika.

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet and cook shrimp for 2–3 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.

  • Melt butter in the same skillet, add garlic, and sautĂ© until fragrant.

  • Return shrimp and broccoli to the skillet, toss to coat, and finish with lemon juice and parsley.

  • Serve over warm rice.

Notes

For best results, avoid overcooking the shrimp and serve immediately. Adjust seasoning to taste and garnish with extra parsley if desired.
