Description

A quick and flavorful skillet dish combining savory sausage, tender cabbage, and vibrant vegetables in a delicious stir fry sauce. Perfect for busy weeknights or satisfying meal prep.

Ingredients

Scale

12 oz (340 g) beef or chicken sausage, sliced
5 cups green cabbage, thinly sliced
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon sesame oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
1 medium carrot, julienned (about 1 cup / 120 g)
1 red bell pepper, sliced
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1 teaspoon chili flakes
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon honey
2 green onions, sliced
1 teaspoon sesame seeds

Instructions

Slice the sausage into rounds and prepare all vegetables.

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook sausage for 4–5 minutes until browned, then remove and set aside.

Add sesame oil and onion to the skillet. Cook for 2 minutes until softened.

Stir in garlic and ginger and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

Add carrot and bell pepper and cook for 2 minutes.

Add sliced cabbage and stir fry for 4–5 minutes until slightly tender.

Return sausage to the skillet and add soy sauce, oyster sauce, honey, chili flakes, paprika, and black pepper.

Toss everything together and cook for another 2–3 minutes until well coated.

Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

Use thinly sliced cabbage for the best texture.
Adjust chili flakes depending on desired spice level.
The stir fry can be served alone or over rice or noodles.
Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 4 days in an airtight container.
