Ingredients
500 g (1 lb) ground turkey
1/4 cup (30 g) breadcrumbs
1 small onion, finely grated
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 large egg
2 tablespoons milk
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon cumin (optional)
4 slices cheese
4 burger buns
Instructions
In a bowl, combine all ingredients except cheese and buns.
Mix gently until just combined.
Divide into 4 patties and shape evenly.
Chill for 20–30 minutes.
Cook on a skillet or grill for 5–6 minutes per side.
Add cheese in the last minute and let it melt.
Assemble burgers with buns and toppings.
Notes
Do not overmix the meat to keep burgers tender.
Chill patties before cooking for better shape retention.
