Description

These tender and flavorful turkey burger patties are juicy, well-seasoned, and perfect for grilling or stovetop cooking. A lighter burger option that never sacrifices taste.

Ingredients

Scale

2 pounds (900 g) ground turkey (93% lean)
1/2 cup (75 g) finely grated yellow onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/3 cup (40 g) plain breadcrumbs
1 large egg
2 tablespoons (30 ml) olive oil
1 tablespoon (15 ml) Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon (15 ml) Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon (5 g) salt
1/2 teaspoon (2 g) black pepper
1 teaspoon (3 g) smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon (1 g) dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon (1 g) onion powder

Instructions

Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix gently until just combined.

Divide into 6–8 portions and shape into patties about 3/4 inch (2 cm) thick.

Press a small indentation into the center of each patty and refrigerate for 20–30 minutes.

Preheat grill to 375–400°F (190–200°C) and lightly oil grates.

Grill for 5–6 minutes per side until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

Rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Chilling patties helps them hold their shape.
Use a meat thermometer to prevent overcooking.
Uncooked patties can be frozen for up to 3 months.
For stovetop cooking, use 1 tablespoon (15 ml) olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
