Description

A creamy, comforting mac and cheese loaded with sweet and smoky honey BBQ chicken, designed to deliver big flavor with a protein-packed twist.


Ingredients

  • 500 g chicken breast, diced

  • 120 ml honey BBQ sauce

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

  • 300 g high protein elbow macaroni

  • 30 g unsalted butter

  • 30 g all-purpose flour

  • 480 ml low-fat milk

  • 120 ml plain Greek yogurt

  • 150 g shredded sharp cheddar cheese

  • 100 g shredded mozzarella cheese

  • ½ teaspoon mustard powder


Instructions

  • Cook the macaroni in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet, add chicken, season, and cook until fully done.

  • Stir in honey BBQ sauce and simmer for 2–3 minutes. Set aside.

  • Melt butter in a saucepan, whisk in flour, then slowly add milk to thicken.

  • Stir in Greek yogurt, cheeses, seasoning, and mustard powder until smooth.

  • Combine pasta with cheese sauce, then fold in honey BBQ chicken.

  • Serve warm with optional extra sauce or toppings.

Notes

For best texture, reheat with a splash of milk and stir gently. Adjust BBQ sauce to taste depending on desired sweetness and smokiness.
