Instructions
-
-
Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat dry. Season with salt, black pepper, and paprika.
-
Heat olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp in a single layer and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp from skillet.
-
Reduce heat to medium and add remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Stir in garlic and red pepper flakes. Cook 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
-
Pour in heavy cream and stir to combine. Simmer for 2–3 minutes, then whisk in Parmesan until smooth. Season with additional salt and pepper.
-
Return shrimp to skillet and toss in the sauce. Simmer 1–2 minutes to combine flavors.
-
Remove from heat, stir in lemon juice and parsley.
-
Serve immediately over pasta, rice, or with crusty bread.
-
Notes
-
-
Use large or jumbo shrimp for best results; smaller shrimp can overcook easily.
-
Adjust creaminess by using less cream or substituting half with milk.
-
Add extra crushed red pepper flakes or cayenne for a spicier version.
-
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days; reheat gently to prevent sauce from separating.
