Description

A crunchy, flavorful snack perfect for cozy evenings, festive gatherings, or a sunny day picnic. This homemade Chex mix combines Corn, Rice, and Wheat Chex with pretzels and nuts, all coated in a bold, spicy ranch seasoning that’s addictive and easy to make.


Ingredients

  • 3 cups Corn Chex

  • 3 cups Rice Chex

  • 3 cups Wheat Chex

  • 2 cups pretzel sticks

  • 1 cup roasted nuts (almonds, peanuts, or cashews)

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 packet (1 ounce) ranch seasoning mix

  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt


Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 250°F (120°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.

  • In a large bowl, combine Corn Chex, Rice Chex, Wheat Chex, pretzel sticks, and roasted nuts. Toss gently to mix.

  • In a small bowl, combine melted butter, olive oil, ranch seasoning, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, black pepper, and salt. Stir until blended.

  • Pour the seasoning mixture over the Chex mix and stir gently to coat evenly.

  • Spread the mixture in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.

  • Remove from oven and allow to cool completely before serving. Store in an airtight container.
