A comforting and flavorful noodle dish featuring tender chicken tossed in a rich, sticky garlic sauce that coats every strand perfectly.


Ingredients

  • 500 g (1 lb) boneless chicken breast, thinly sliced

  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

  • 250 g (9 oz) wheat or egg noodles

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

  • 6 cloves garlic, finely minced

  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 2 tablespoons oyster-style sauce

  • 2 tablespoons honey

  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar

  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar

  • 120 ml (½ cup) chicken broth

  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water

  • Green onions and sesame seeds for garnish


Instructions

  • Toss the sliced chicken with cornstarch, salt, and pepper.

  • Cook the noodles according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.

  • Heat oil in a skillet and cook the chicken until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.

  • Sauté garlic in the same pan until fragrant.

  • Add soy sauce, oyster-style sauce, honey, brown sugar, rice vinegar, and chicken broth. Simmer gently.

  • Stir in the cornstarch slurry to thicken the sauce.

  • Return chicken and noodles to the pan and toss until evenly coated.

  • Garnish and serve hot.

Notes

For best results, slice the chicken thinly and avoid overcooking the noodles. Add a splash of broth when reheating leftovers to maintain the sauce’s glossy texture.
