A comforting slow-cooked beef dish featuring incredibly tender steak bites simmered in a rich, savory sauce that’s perfect for family dinners or cozy evenings.
Ingredients

Beef sirloin or chuck steak – 2 pounds, cut into 1½-inch cubes

Olive oil – 2 tablespoons

Onion – 1 large, finely chopped

Garlic cloves – 4 cloves, minced

Beef broth – 1½ cups

Low-sodium soy sauce – ⅓ cup

Worcestershire sauce – 2 tablespoons

Tomato paste – 2 tablespoons

Brown sugar – 1 tablespoon

Paprika – 1 teaspoon

Onion powder – 1 teaspoon

Black pepper – ¾ teaspoon

Salt – ½ teaspoon

Cornstarch – 2 tablespoons

Cold water – 2 tablespoons

Fresh parsley – optional garnish
Instructions

Cut the steak into evenly sized cubes and pat dry.

Heat olive oil in a skillet and sear steak cubes on all sides. Transfer to the crockpot.

In the same skillet, sauté onion until soft, then add garlic.

Stir in beef broth, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, tomato paste, brown sugar, paprika, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Simmer briefly.

Pour sauce over steak in the crockpot and stir gently.

Cook on low for 6–7 hours or high for 3–4 hours until tender.

Mix cornstarch with cold water and stir into the crockpot during the last 30 minutes to thicken the sauce.

Garnish with parsley and serve warm.
Notes
For the most tender results, avoid lifting the lid during cooking. If the sauce becomes too thick, stir in a small amount of warm beef broth before serving.
