Ingredients

Beef chuck roast – 3 pounds

Dry ranch seasoning mix – 1 packet (about 1 ounce)

Dry au jus seasoning mix – 1 packet (about 1 ounce)

Unsalted butter – 1/2 cup (1 stick)

Pepperoncini peppers – 6 to 8 whole

Pepperoncini juice – 1/4 cup

Garlic powder – 1 teaspoon (optional)

Onion powder – 1 teaspoon (optional)
Instructions

Place the beef chuck roast into the crock pot.

Sprinkle the ranch seasoning mix and au jus seasoning mix evenly over the roast.

Add the butter on top of the beef.

Place the pepperoncini peppers around the roast and pour in the pepperoncini juice.

Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 4 to 5 hours until tender.

Shred the beef with forks, mix with the juices, and serve.
Notes
For best results, use a well-marbled chuck roast. Adjust the number of pepperoncini peppers to suit your taste. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to four days and reheat beautifully.
