Ingredients

700 g boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon ground black pepper

2 tablespoons cornstarch

120 ml barbecue sauce

80 ml honey

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

½ teaspoon smoked paprika
Instructions

Preheat oven to 220°C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Toss chicken with olive oil and seasonings in a large bowl.

Add cornstarch and mix until coated.

Arrange chicken in a single layer on the baking sheet.

Bake for 18–22 minutes, flipping halfway through.

In a saucepan, simmer barbecue sauce, honey, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, and smoked paprika for 5–7 minutes.

Toss baked chicken with the sauce until coated.

Return chicken to the oven for 5 minutes to set the glaze.
Notes
For extra crispiness, avoid overcrowding the baking sheet and consider broiling for 1–2 minutes at the end. Adjust honey levels to suit your preferred sweetness.
