Description
A comforting and healthy chicken dish made with tender pieces of chicken, fresh broccoli, and a creamy Greek yogurt sauce infused with garlic and spices.
Ingredients
2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts (500 g), cut into pieces
2 cups (300 g) broccoli florets
1 cup (240 g) Greek yogurt
2 tablespoons olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 medium onion, chopped
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon dried oregano
½ teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon turmeric (optional)
½ cup (120 ml) chicken broth or water
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons parsley, chopped
Instructions
Cut chicken and prepare vegetables.
Blanch broccoli in boiling water for 2–3 minutes, then drain.
Heat oil and cook chicken until golden; set aside.
Sauté onion until soft, then add garlic.
Stir in spices and cook briefly.
Add broth and reduce heat.
Mix in Greek yogurt slowly.
Return chicken and add broccoli.
Simmer for 3–5 minutes.
Finish with lemon juice and parsley before serving.
Notes
Keep heat low when adding yogurt to prevent curdling.
Add extra broth if the sauce becomes too thick.
Best served fresh but can be stored for up to 3 days in the refrigerator.
