Description

A creamy, dreamy comfort food hug in a bowl—creamy, dreamy, and utterly satisfying. This hands-off dish uses a slow cooker to transform simple ingredients into a family favorite with minimal effort.

Ingredients

Penne or Rotini Pasta (12 oz, uncooked)
Chicken Broth (3 cups)
Heavy Cream (1 cup)
Garlic (2 cloves, minced)
Italian seasoning (1 tsp)
Salt and pepper (to taste)
Unsalted butter (1 tbsp)
Milk (1/2 cup, optional)
Grated Parmesan Cheese (1/2 cup, optional)
Chopped green onions or parsley (optional)

Instructions

Grease a 5-quart crockpot with non-stick cooking spray (if desired)
Add uncooked pasta, chicken broth, heavy cream, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and butter to the crockpot
Stir well to combine
Cover and cook on LOW for 6-8 hours or HIGH for 3-4 hours
After cooking, fluff pasta with a fork (no need to drain)
If sauce is too thick, gently stir in additional broth or milk as needed
Add optional Parmesan cheese and green onions or parsley before serving

Notes

Use vegetable broth for a vegetarian version
Pasta will absorb liquid, so residue is normal
Cheese lovers can double the cheese amount
Let stand 10-15 minutes before serving
