A hearty and flavorful bowl combining tender garlic steak, nutritious brown rice, and fresh vegetables for a balanced meal.
Ingredients
2 cups cooked brown rice (about 1 cup uncooked)
400 g steak (sirloin or ribeye), sliced thin
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup broccoli florets
1 medium carrot, sliced thin
1/2 red bell pepper, sliced
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
1 tablespoon chopped parsley (optional)
Instructions
Cook brown rice using 1 cup rice and 2 cups water; simmer 30–35 minutes.
Slice steak thinly and marinate with soy sauce, spices, and half the garlic for 10–15 minutes.
Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil and cook vegetables for 5–7 minutes; set aside.
Add remaining oil and garlic to the pan, then cook steak for 3–5 minutes.
Return vegetables to the pan, add lemon juice, and mix well.
Serve steak and vegetables over brown rice and garnish as desired.
Notes
Slice steak against the grain for tenderness
Adjust seasoning to taste
Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days
